Robin Carr grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from the University of Delaware and the University of Maryland School of Medicine, then went on to complete residency training at Temple University Hospital, Fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and to work as a physician in the Philadelphia area for 35 years before retiring in 2021. He is married with a stepson and four grandchildren.

Robin loved growing up near the Chesapeake Bay, vacationing at Ocean City, Maryland, Rehobeth and Cape May, and spending summers as a teen on a lake in the Adirondecks. His childhood love of music and literature continues to this day. He feels a deep dept of gratitude to the writers that opened his young mind to the vast universe of human experience and writes short stories and ocasional poems in hopes of paying it forward and saying thank you.
